Cricket, a favourite sport for millions of lives on this planet. A bat-and-ball team game caught the attention of the whole world with the entertainment it has got. It all started in 16th century, the game was first played in England, believed that it was originally a children's game later adults too had started playing the same. Growth of cricket is seen during the 17th century in England and numerous references too available to indicate the same. Cricket became the national sport of England in the 18th century and the game too underwent major developments, new Laws were introduced in the game include three stump wicket, leg before wicket, etc. Well then soon after the game became more popular on the land of the 'Empire on which the sun never sets', it spread to other nations along with the colonial rush. In fact the British Empire had been instrumental in spreading the same overseas. The list of TOP TEN CRICKETERS OF ALL TIME is highly biased n injudiciously selected showing Sir Garry Sobers at No.6 and not having legends like Sunil Gavaskar, Imran Khan, Dennis Lillie, George Headley, Graeme Pollock etc. It is very much deplorable to see the names of Steve Waugh, Sir Ian Botham n Jack Kallis ahead of the aforesaid players. Stats n figures alone do not make players top or great but quality of the player should be the prime factor.
sachin has a records of records and he is the " God of cricket"
how could you miss out gilchrist and ponting
i think Ponting along with Gilchrist is missing.moreover where is MCgrath?

one inning play 219 not mean every time good player
sachin, don bradman, vivian richards, muthiah muralitharan, ponting, lara, dravid, wasim akram, warne, imran khan, sunil gavaskar
who is mentioning shewag here. do you ever know wat is cricket. its not just hit out or get out. its match winning and playing according to situation. he never plays in situation like that. hitting 219 against wi which is not at good shape currently is not a great things. if he would have faced walsh and ambrose thats a great thing. so don't simply mention shewag. ask him to play in overseas.
DON, SACHIN,SOBERS, KALLIS, MURLI, VIV, LARA, WARNE, IMRAN, HAMMOND
sachin is great. ha is first
Where is dravid????
rahul dravid fits in the list

1. Bradman........the length of the straight.
2. Tendulkar
3. Kallis
4. Warne
5. Richards
6. Lillee
7. Sobers
8. Hobbs
9. Lara
10. Hammond
Murali does not get in as he is and always will be a "chucker", (which is why he is not rated by any of the modern greats).
Apologies to Imran, McGrath and all those West Indian demon bowlers like Holding, Marshall, Roberts, Walsh and Garner.
People may question Kallis, but check his statistics. Enough said.
Whats wrong with indians. Sachin is a great player but he isn't better than Don. Plus he cannot be God. If he was, he would hav got his 100th century when he was wearing his dipers. So be logical Indians. Just don't ask 4 a players inclusion based on stats.
2nd point. Dravid is a great player, n he is one of my favourite, but considering the fact that d list is only 4 top 10, he cannot be accommodated.
3rd Point - Those who are calling for Shevag's inclusion are people who know very little about cricket and its class. Just because he is Indian and sometimes hits a few extra run doesnt mean he is great. Hiting 219 against a weak team is not an achievement. Saeed Anwar hit 194 against India n Sachin hit his 200 against Aus/Sri Lanka. Thats an achievement. I knw u guys want stop calling 4 his inclusion. But 4 me who ever does call him a great player are still disillusioned.
4th Point. Atleast 1 pakistani player should hav been include in d list. (im not pakistani) but because they hav achieved some great feats in cricket. For me that person would be Imran Khan.
That's all I have 2 say.
Adiaos Amigos
is sehwag more aggresive n striker player ever
1.sobers - greatest cricketer ever with no doubt
2.wasim akram- greatest bowler + allround skills

5. Garfield Sobers
6. Richard Headlee (NZ)
7. Kapil Dev (I)

9 Shane Warne (A)
10 Vivian Richard (WI)
11 Dennies Lillee (A)
12 Jacque Kallis
13 Imran Khan (p)
14.Adam Gilchrist (WK-Aust)
whtever u ppl say....Wasim Akram is a legend......
sanath jayasuriya added
obviously a lot of debate will occur on such a list, expect some common names who took cricket to our hearts rather than field stuff. But still some important names should have been there.
1. Sunil gavaskar . Being the first person to score five digit runs in international cribket especially against likes of malcom marshal garner hadle. Whici contains more quality in seem bowling.
2.imran khan.
Where is Ponting?? U ppl talking about cricket and ignoring Ponting.. In all records he stands second after sachin... Successive captain in history..Ponting should be added in the list even in list top 5 players of all time.
Well interesting article: Here is mine for whatever it is worth:
1. Don Bradman
2. Gary Sobers
3. Kallis
4. SACHIN Tnedulkar
5. Brian lara
6. Viv Richards
7. Shane Warne
8. Adam Gilchrist
9. Sunil Gavaskar
10. Imran Khan
sir Donald Bradman best of all time.he sill holds the 2nd position aeter sachin
where is chris martin? one of the best batsmen to ever play in the history of cricket
sachin is the best player in the history..n don bradman played only 58 test in his 20year old wheras sachin played 188 tests n 443 odis career.....tell bradman to come n play as many as sachin n dn v'l see his average....pointing is better than bradman
I really can't believe champ's comment. Does the little hiatus of,WWII ring a bell? That sliced about eight years off his Bradman's career when he played virtually no cricket. In his first Test after the war, he scored 173. In the next, he scored a double hundred. His career average is higher than when he played his last Test before the war. Between 1946-48, he scored two double centuries, seven centuries and five 50's in 23 innings. You really think that either Sachin or Ricky or in fact any cricket alive or dead could do that after 8 full years out of the game? Bradman was the best, no doubt. The record shows that, far from suffering worse stats had he played 100 Tests, his scoring feats would have been greater, and he would have set a run record they'd still be trying to catch.
test cricketer sachin
odi cricketer wasim
t20 cricketer gayle
SACHIN THE MASTER BLASTER
bradman's stats should be adjusted to modern competitive cricket.
dhyanchand scored goals like runs in cricket
sydney barns bowling figures - super human
bradman stats - super human
hobbs - 7 centuries after 40yrs age
w.g.grace - leading cricketer at 50+ age
all these things coluld be happen only in amature era
if bradman best bat, why not barnes best bowler?
bradman himself once said , there were many other batsmen who could score like him if they concentrated more . that means a gavskar or sachin in that era easily would have make a bradman. ( not applicable to sobers , viv and lara, because they r nothing but pure talent , whereas gavaskar and sachin r dedicated with high discipline and concentration)
and bradman rates SOBERS AS BEST EVER
garry sobers must b rated as the best
garry sobers - mostly regarded as 2nd best batsman after don (undoubtedly-before the emergence of sachin)
he played MODERN COMPETITIVE PROFFESSIONAL CRICKET UNLIKE BRADMAN
he maintained 93.75 avg with bat in 24 straight tests
arguably greatest batsman
arguably greatest fielder
+ a matchwinning pace bowler+ spin bowler
and he is the MOST COMPLETE BATSMAN in HISTORY . he has everything
technically best , mastered all copy book shots+ his own shot combined with great eye-hand co ordination and pure style and grace
the only batsman i rate above sobers is SUNIL GAVSKAR
sunil gavskar - most successful test batsman in history (barring bradman of amature era)
naturally an aggressive stroke player, who forced to reduce his shot seection according to team needs. India needeed gavaskar forever in crease .
ultimate technician
played against greatest bowling attacks
there can not b a better innings than his last innings 96 v pak
he is among greatest batsmen of alltime even after changing his natural style, and most succesful too.
made RECORD of RECORDS including most runs and centuries.
lara,bradman,ponting,kllis,inzemam,yousaf
sachin,lara,bradman jayasurya,dravid
don bradman should not be no 1...his record states that he never played an oveseas match.....
sir don played his matches only with England call him & say him to face Shoeb After, Brat Lee, Dale Stain, who bowls with a speed of 150/km. Sachin had scored his 200 against south Africa who have Dale Stain, Morey Morkal who bowls with a avarage speedof 148/km, so please dont compare these two great batsmen, they both are great.
1.don bradman
2.sachin
3.viv richards
3.gary sobers
4.wasim akram
4.lara
5.ponting
5.gavaskar
5.macgrath
6.kallis
6.murlitharan
7.dravid
7.sangakara
8.wakar yonous
9.shane warne
10.hayden
10.shoib akhter
sachin is the god of cricket and no any body here who compared with this cricketer.
And finaly i suggested to mr. bin if you don,t know about tendulkar no comment, no abbuse, and if you dont understand then tell me about yourself i will give a idea to you for your fool mind ok
Sachin is a great cricketer and legend there is no doubt at all and we must respect his tallent, skill, dedication etc.,,,,.please salute him.
But please do not call him as 'GOD'. we all are just a human beings.
wasim akram is the greatest ever left arm bowler. he showed great skills in during his cricket`
dont compare greats
just enjoy the game provided by all cricket players
finaly cricket is the graetst, if not cricket no don nor the master
hey guys were is rahul dravid selfless man he must be under 10th position he is realy amazing
Where is the great inzamam the only fighter who won great matches with the tail enders
Sachin is god of batting.. But Kallis is god of cricket.. King Kallis..
i think David Boon, not only a leader of men, but to play with a body like that and also to be able to drink like that makes him the best all round criketer the world has seen.
i agree sunjab.. did you play cricket with David?? i heard his moustache is not real.?? is that true
I agree these all are good cricketers but where is vinod kambli isnt he not good
where is saurav ganguly ? isnt he is 1 of great captain , who lift indian site alot, when its really needed.....
sehwag is the man who gets his ton with six...In sehwag dictonary there is no meaning of FEAR..
rahul dravid is not in list of best batsmans...its really funny...whereas shahid afridi and chris cairns are there....you must be joking
i dnt undastand why ricky ponting isnt makng that list . He won e best cricketer of the decade , has e most wins in test cricket . Arguably e most successful captain in e morden era . As far as dorminance in world cricket is concerned , he shud b up there w e best .
without rahul dravid how can a list of cricket can be complite
Shakib Al hasan is also one of the greatest cricketers in the world.
kallis was the best all rounder of alltime & in all formats.
I think munaf patel should be included in the list..he can bring wonders on cricket field with his charming smile.. Also he bowls a bit.
gayle
I strongly recommend inclusion of Munaf Patel in the list of top 10 cricketers of the world...
wasim akram is the best bowler of all time and brain lara is the greatest batsman in the cricket history

It's always difficult to pick a top-ten list of cricketers of all time. I think that Garry Sobers and Jacques Kallis top this list because they are well-rounded cricketers. Sobers could bowl medium pace and well as left-arm spin. Steve Waugh could bowl a bit and was an astute captain and leader. I'm not sure what Ian Botham is doing in there, since Sir Richard Hadlee was a far better cricketer than he ever was. Other than the Ian Botham aberration, this list was not as contentious as some of those produced by panels of cricket "experts."
